FOREWORD
I
have heard it said that Shodenko's works are difficult to understand.
Please
don't forget that he worked in a different time and under great
pressure do to the communist system. In a few of his works he
expresses complex ideas in a very complex form - to the distress
of many of his student. But, more often, Shkodenko makes complex
concepts intelligible in their form that are remarkable for
their clarity in dialog and rhythm.
I
hope that his works might offer some new ideas for urban architecture,
and give some encouragement and a new perspective in the field
of architecture.
